In partnership with St. Lawrence College, Kriska is pleased to announce the introduction of a Leadership Certificate Program as part of our on-going commitment to being one of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies.

Global competition, the development of advanced technologies, and other economic challenges are rapidly changing the way Canadian business and industry operate. Today's supervisors and managers must demonstrate multifaceted leadership combined with a high level of technical expertise to be successful. The Leadership Certificate Program is a customized program based on the Manufacturing Leadership Certificate Program, which was originally developed in 1993 through a training partnership of five Ontario Community Colleges and industry.

The Leadership Certificate Program consists of five courses and 150 hours in the classroom on topics including:

Supervisory Skills for Supervisors
Coaching and Developing People
Developing Effective Teams
Continuous Improvement Processes
Computer Fundamentals

All courses have been customized to reflect the reality of the transportation industry and our business environment.  Current case studies and projects are used to address "real life" business challenges. Participants earn a College certificate recognized by colleges throughout the Province of Ontario.

The Kriska Leadership Certificate Program will commence September 12, 2006 at the Brockville Campus of St. Lawrence College. The program will run alternate Tuesdays through June 2007.
