Mark Seymour, President and CEO of Kriska is pleased to announce that a letter of intent has been signed to purchase JMS Transportation (JMS). The deal is expected to close Jan. 31/2011.

JMS is a 30 truck fleet based in Point Edward, Ontario providing domestic and cross border truckload services to a host of customers in both Canada and the US. JMS is owned and operated by Kevin Langford. Kevin, his staff, drivers and Owner Operators will join the Kriska team and compliment our value proposition by extending our service capabilities, specifically in SW Ontario.

As Regional Director, Kevin will integrate the JMS operation into Kriska and bring his years of experience to the Kriska organization.

“Much of the news in the last couple of years has been grim. Companies downsizing, closing and jobs lost. This is a good news story for JMS, our customers and our employees. Kriska is a well respected organization and their decision to expand into the SW Ontario market with the acquisition of JMS will allow us the resources of a larger carrier to be more effective and efficient. We’re now well positioned to grow and bring jobs back to the region” adds Kevin Langford, President of JMS.
